  • His name is Alfred. He is on our website, in our tools, and on our business cards. Here is why a marketing agency has a robot mascot...

When we started building My Digital Hero, we needed a brand identity. And the obvious choice was to do what every other agency does. Gradient logo.

Minimal typeface. Photos of us looking thoughtful in front of laptops. But we are not that kind of agency.

We are the kind of agency that puts Tetris on its 404 page and builds a graveyard for dead technology. So we got a robot instead. Alfred shows up everywhere.

He is the referee in Site Fight. He has opinions in the Jargon Buster. He reacts to your Marketing MOT score.

He judges your marketing personality. He is on every widget, every page, every report we send. And the funny thing is, people remember him.

I have had people on calls say 'Oh, you are the company with the robot.' Not the company with the best SEO or the most awards. The company with the robot. And that is fine with me, because they remembered us.

The name Alfred is a nod to Batman, obviously. Every hero needs a behind-the-scenes person making everything work. That is what we do.

That is what Alfred represents. The team behind the scenes, quietly making sure everything runs properly while you focus on running your business. Also, naming a robot Alfred is inherently funny and I refuse to apologise for that.

Go play with any of our tools. Alfred will be there. Probably judging you.

    He does that.
