How it works
1. Choose your tier
Spark, Forge or Titan. Each adds more dev time, so you can tailor our work to your needs. (And know exactly what you're paying for.)
2. Unlock expertise
Need someone to maintain your website? Build an integration? Deliver on an epic vision? We're full-stack developers with years of experience – and the case studies to prove it.
3. Expect no surprises
When the bill arrives, it's the bill you want. No hidden discovery fees. No 'Where did that £10,000 come from?' Just the price you chose and the work you paid for.
Three tiers, total certainty
It's simple. You pay for the time you need, and absolutely nothing else..
Which tier is right for me?
Here's the most important fact: Spark, Forge and Titan each offer the same standard of support and access to the same expertise.
What you get more of is time. And with time comes more flexibility and more possibilities.
When you reach out, we'll discuss your project and set clear guardrails on scope and timescales. But here's a rough guide to what you can achieve at each tier.
| The project | The tier | Rough shape |
|---|---|---|
| Keep an existing app or system healthy; integrations; steady improvement | Spark | Ongoing |
| A simple app or internal tool | Forge | 5 to 9 months |
| A moderate app | Forge or Titan | 9 months+ of Forge |
| A complex app | Titan | 8 to 15 months |
| Enterprise projects | Titan | 5 to 9 months of Titan |

My Digital Hero vs a typical UK software development company
At £1,000 a day, you'd save up to £36,000 a year
We've built Spark, Forge and Titan to offer exceptional value compared to a traditional UK app development company.
Let's do the maths. A typical agency day rate is around £1,000 (though costs can vary depending on agency and location). With My Digital Hero, you're getting a senior developer and support team for the equivalent of just £875 per day or less.
| Spark | Forge | Titan | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Development days | 4 | 8 | 16 |
| MDH monthly price | £3,499 | £6,999 | £12,999 |
| Equivalent at £1,000/day | £4,000 | £8,000 | £16,000 |
| Monthly saving | £501 | £1,001 | £3,001 |
| Annual saving | £6,012 | £12,012 | £36,012 |

And that's before you consider additional costs, such as setup fees, discovery sprints, tech specs and QA. Many software development companies in the UK charge for these separately. With My Digital Hero, it's all included within your monthly time allocation.
That means no juggling suppliers. No disconnected strategies. And no paying for services you don't need. Instead, you get a tailored, data-driven marketing strategy delivered by experts who are ready to hit the ground running.
And best of all? It grows as you grow. Start with the package that fits your business today, then scale into more advanced tiers as your ambition pays off.
It's all your digital marketing, all joined up – and all starting from just £2,499 per month. Simple.
Don't have the time or resources to do it all themselves

Still, isn't this more expensive than hiring a freelancer?
Yes, most likely.
But here's the thing. You're not just paying for development time. You're buying certainty.
Many freelancers are pros. Others aren't. In any case, it's a gamble – will you get an experienced project manager or a vibe coder who abandons ship at the first sign of a technical roadblock?
With My Digital Hero, you know exactly what you're getting: a clear scope, progress every month and 20+ years of experience on your side if something goes wrong. When success depends on getting it right first time, that confidence is priceless.
Choose My Digital Hero
No recruiting or vetting
No managing a stranger or wondering if they'll answer the phone
Nothing goes into production without senior developer review
Continuity: we hold knowledge for you, month after month
team, not a person – design, content and marketing work hand-in-hand with tech
o surprise invoices – the price on the page is the price you pay
Hire a freelance developer
Needs recruitment time and resource
Uncertainty about who you'll get and how they'll perform
In-house sign-off needed
A freelancer leaves and takes their knowledge with them
One person, one set of skill
Highly variable pricing
The AI Honesty Box
We're upfront about our use of AI, just as we're upfront about pricing.
As an experienced UK app development company, we're always looking for new ways to boost efficiency. If we can add value for you without compromising quality, that's a win-win.
And that's exactly how we use AI. We use it to automate routine tasks, draft boilerplate code and move faster.
So, are you paying for a robot? No. You're paying for a senior developer who reviews everything before it goes into production. AI is another tool in our toolbox, but it's our expertise that runs the show.
Who does the work?
Meet Matthew Baker, technical lead at My Digital Hero.
Matthew has more than 20 years of software development and project management experience. He's worked with major players in the UK, South Africa and beyond. And he leads and reviews everything – every deliverable, every sprint, every technical decision.
Capacity? It's covered. Mat calls in trusted freelancers as needed, while maintaining executive sign-off on their work. This ensures our capabilities can scale to match your needs.
You're not just getting a person. You're getting a team. As well as freelancers, we have a squad of in-house marketing, design and content experts ready to step in where needed.
All for one fixed, sensible monthly fee. (Yes, it's real.)
Your questions answered
What counts as a development day?
Development is about more than writing code. Your allocated days cover all the technical work needed to move your project forward, including discovery, planning, architecture, development, code review, testing and deployment.
Depending on your project, our marketing, design and content experts can also step in to provide additional support where needed.
What happens in month one?
That's where the discovery phase sits. Every project starts with discovery, and discovery happens inside the tier using your allotted dev days. We don't charge a separate discovery fee.
Every Forge roadmap starts with a discovery sprint. And for a Titan build, month one is about discovery and architecture.
Spark works a little differently. While discovery is still important, this tier also includes an acceptance check before work starts. Before we take on a system someone else built, we review it and tell you if it can fit within Spark's four days before you commit.
If I use my days for technical support, what does that look like?
If you use some or all of your monthly development days for technical support, our team will be available to help during normal office hours. Any time spent investigating and resolving issues will come out of your allocated days.
If something urgent goes wrong, we'll do our best to help as quickly as possible. However, our standard tiers don't include guaranteed response times, 24/7 support or a formal service level agreement (SLA).
If your business needs guaranteed response times or other contractual support commitments, we can discuss a separately priced SLA.
Will I definitely get the days I pay for?
Yes. Our technical lead personally signs off on capacity, and we cap total sold capacity at what he and his team can genuinely deliver. We never sell more days than we can work.
Can you guarantee a feature will be finished in a month?
Not necessarily. We guarantee the number of development days included in your chosen tier, but we can't promise that a particular feature will be completed within that time.
Some features are relatively straightforward, while others involve more complex development, integrations and testing. We'll help you understand what's realistic, agree priorities and plan the work around your available days. If something needs more time, we'll explain why and carry it forward into the next month's development plan.
What if I need more capacity in a heavy month?
If we have capacity, we'll do it. Any extra time is charged at £875 per day plus VAT. This is subject to availability and always agreed in advance.
What happens to unused time?
It goes to live on a time farm with lots of other happy hours and minutes. No, but seriously – we keep things simple. That means no rollover of unused time from month to month.
However, if we ever fail to provide the agreed days, you won't lose them. Instead, they get reallocated, carried forward or credited.
Can I move between tiers?
Yes. If you need to ramp up development, you can upgrade your tier at any time.
You can downgrade, too, if needed. However, we can only accommodate downgrades at the end of your minimum contract term.
The exception is if we finish a Titan project before the minimum contract term is satisfied. In that case, it's part of the plan to step down to Forge or Spark.
Are there minimum contract terms?
Yes, but it's not a trap. The contract terms scale based on the tier you choose, so you're never left paying for project time you won't use:
- Spark: six-month minimum term
- Forge: six-month minimum term
- Titan: 12-month minimum term
What happens at the end of the minimum term?
We move onto a rolling contract. Spark and Forge have a 30-day notice period on either side. For Titan, it's two months' notice.
Who owns the code?
Our IP policy is simple: you pay, you own it.
Once you've paid in full, you have ownership of the bespoke code, designs and other original work we've created for you. We only retain generic, reusable tooling for future projects, which contains no proprietary or identifiable information from your business.
Any third-party or open-source components remain subject to their existing licences
How do we communicate?
Don't worry – we never play email volleyball. You get one contact who handles everything, plus a monthly planning conversation to keep everyone on the same page.
What do you charge for hosting and licences?
Zero. With My Digital Hero, you hire a software developer and a support team. That means you pay for our time and our expertise – nothing else. It's up to you to pay for licensing, hosting and other third-party fees. We manage them, but we never hold the money. It's simpler that way
Have you done this before?
Oh, yes. We've collaborated with clients across a wide range of sectors and an equally wide variety of projects. That includes building an enterprise eCommerce website for Safestyle UK, creating a market-leading property app and managing more data and integrations than we can count.
Read our case studies to learn more about what we've done and what we can do.
How do I pay?
One monthly fee plus VAT, paid in advance by Direct Debit. No setup fees or hidden costs. (If only everything was that simple…)
Not sure where to start?
We can help. Tell us where your tech is stuck and we'll give you an honest assessment of how we can unstick it and which tier best fits your goals.
