Knock Knock set out to disrupt the traditional property market with a bold idea. They would build a single platform where homeowners could manage the entire sales process from start to finish.

A bold idea held back by a lagging industry

The property sector has many moving parts. Knock Knock's goal was to unify this complex ecosystem in one user-friendly platform.



The challenge: dealing with a fragmented technical landscape within an industry that was slow to adopt new ideas. To realise its vision, Knock Knock had to account for:

  • Sellers needing access to multiple certified tradespeople
  • Different certification requirements (electrical, gas, plumbing, etc.)
  • Legal oversight and document handling
  • Payment flows, contracts and final transfer of ownership
  • Lack of a unified system to manage everything from start to finish


Each step added friction, delays and risk. Knock Knock needed a digital hero.

With this project, technical challenges were just the start. We also had to contend with a mountain of logistical obstacles.



To take one example, we weren't building for a single user type. We were building for admin users, homeowners, legal teams and professionals across multiple trades. All came with different needs, expectations, access rules and responsibilities.
